MPO/MTP Fiber Patch Cables

The MTP/MPO fiber optic patch cables are constructed by a simplex mini core round or ribbon cable, this type of cable is available in 4, 8, 12, 24 and 48 fiber count types.

MPO/MTP Trunk Cables

MPO/MTP trunk cables use a group of 12 fiber MPO/MTP connectors at each end of the cable. the cable cores can be with 12 fibers, 24 fibers, 36 fibers, 48 fibers, 72 fibers, 96 fiber and 144-fiber.

MPO/MTP-LC Harness Cables

QSFP25 AOC integrates four data lanes in each direction with 100G bandwidth; Each lane can operate at 28.05Gbps up to 70meters via OM3 fiber or 100meters via OM4 fiber. QSFP28 are designed to operate over MMF using a nominal wavelength of 850nm. The electrical interface utilizes a 38-contact edge type connector. The optical interface utilizes the 12 fiber MTP/MPO connector.

The 10G SFP BIDI transceiver types include the SFP BIDI 10KM, SFP BIDI 20KM, SFP BIDI 40KM, SFP BIDI 60KM, SFP BIDI 80KM, etc. All of the BIDI SFP are with simplex LC interface, nominal wavelength is 1270nm and 1330nm, SFP BIDI is Digital Diagnostic SFF-8472 Compliant and RoHS compliant (Lead Free), Supporting 9.95Gbps to 10.3Gbps data rates, working via single mode optical fiber OS1/OS2 types.


10G CWDM SFP include CWDM SFP LR, CWDM SFP ER, CWDM SFP ZR, they are designed for 10G Ethernet and 2G/4G/8G/10G Fiber Channel applications. The CWDM SFP transceivers consist of two sections: transmitter section incorporates a colded EML laser while the receiver section consists of a APD photodiode integrated with a TIA. All CWDM SFP satisfy class I laser safety requirements and they are made with default Digital diagnostics functions.

SFP Active Optical Cables are direct-attach fiber transceiver cable assemblies with SFP connectors. They are made for very short distances and offer a cost-effective way to connect within racks and across adjacent racks. The SFP Active Optical Cables length is up to 300 meters on OM3/OM4 multimode fiber.The SFP AOC cables are available in different length, from 1m,2m,3m,5m,7m,10m to max 300m. SFP AOC is hot pluggable and small size, widely used in data center connections.

10G SFP Dual
10G SFP Dual port fiber transceivers use duplex LC ports on the module, they are made as per IEEE802.3ae, SFF-8472 and SFF-8431. Carrier Networks and Fiber Optics

erizon, Sprint and AT&T are all examples of communications service providers that work with their own carrier networks. Most of these carrier networks are using or are currently switching over to fiber optics so that more data can be sent in less time. These networks are regulated and the companies operating them have licenses to operate these telecommunication systems. A carrier network consists of interconnected complex hardware that allows the network to send communication over vast geographic areas.

A lot of data must be carried with these networks over huge distances. The backbone of the network uses fiber optics as a medium. While some companies still use copper, this is being phased out quickly as the benefits of fiber are too great to ignore. Other methods of providing Internet service include cable, satellite and wireless technology.

Today, the mobile device society counts on updated and reliable carrier networks to meet the heavy demands. Bandwidth updates and the ability to switch from a Sonet to an IP infrastructure in a cost-effective way are all available with fiber.

Optical fiber and the MTP/MPO products are used by national carriers to deliver telephone service on a carrier network while a local carrier carries the voice transmission through fiber from the switch at the central office to an individual home or a neighborhood.

Anyone that has cable television in their home is also relying on fiber for the delivery of the data services and the digital video. Broadband signals can be transmitted at a very high bandwidth when fiber is used and we can thank fiber for its ability to deliver high definition telecasts.

More and more carrier networks are rolling out fiber technology to replace their old copper systems as are other fields such as the military, the automotive industry and the biomedical field. Fiber has also become indispensable when it comes to transportation systems using automated tollbooths, message signs and smart traffic lights.

Data Centers and Fiber Optics

Data centers around the world can no longer count on older technology and need to upgrade to fiber optic solutions if they have not done so already. There is a huge disparity between the network systems of today and yesterday and innovative technologies must come into play in order for companies to remain competitive and meet the internal requirements of their data centers.

Copper used to be the go-to solution for data centers but that time has long gone. Copper transceivers consume approximately 10 times as much power as their rival fiber transceivers. Fiber optics provides power along with cost-efficiency and is used extensively nowadays in structured data center cabling environments.

Fiber also provides greater bandwidth with no errors when data needs to travel a long distance. It is also easier to test, weighs less and takes up less space than its copper counterpart. Fiber leads the way to high speed network protocols and interfaces through its ability to support higher rates of data. In most cases, laser optimized OM4 and OM3 is usually recommended due to their capabilities to handle more bandwidth.

MPO connectors are commonly used for backbone cabling and can directly link the active devices to the cabling. In fact, the connector format of the MPO has become an industry standard and they are available in a number of styles. MTP connectors are often used to customize card edges of equipment, patch panels and breakout modules.

Nowadays, a data center must rely on its Internet fiber optic connection to a number of different providers. This provides redundancy and multiple cables must be used to make connections with these other communication networks. The racks in the data center accept the incoming cables, which then connect to routers and the servers of the data centers. Fiber optic technology allows large amounts of data to be sent at a speed of 10-100 GB/s.

The goal of any data center is to avoid as much latency as possible while moving data at lightning speeds. The need to send data quickly in vast amounts is becoming more crucial every day and the field of fiber optics is constantly being updated with new products that can deliver more speed.
