nenion was founded in February 2011 as an individual enterprise of Stefan Bösch and designs, produces and sells UHV-Gasdosing valves since then. These valves were originally made by VSE Vacuum Technology. In 2007 Stefan Bösch began to work with VSE and after four years it lead to the succession and founding of nenion.

With our gasdosing valve you can control gas flows in all vacuum ranges from low to fine and high up to ultrhigh vacuum. These valves have been produced by VSE Vacuum Technology since 2003. For illustration of the possible flows imagine you want to fill a balloon with Helium. Using a standard Helium gas bottle and our gasdosing valve it will take 15 seconds to fill the balloon. If the valve is in almost closed position you would have to wait 100,000 years!

The core of the valve is a goldplated diaphragm. It provides the desired flow rates:
The design of the valve seat provides small dead volmes and has no narrowings. Flow direction is freely eligible.
The sealing force is applied by a direct actuator with very high resolution. Thereby stability and reaction time are improved and secured.
To adjust gasflows in different ways nenion provides different solutions:
The manual actuator provides the possibility to adjust the gasflow by a habdwheel. The stroke from open to close position is divided into ten turns of the handwheel. the axial stroke is 10mm, the maximum closing torque is 5 Nm.
The handwheel is made of pretected steel. It can be dismantled during baking out.

The steppermotor driven valve allows the automation of the gasdosing process. The gasflow can be adjusted via an analog signal (0 – 10VDC) or via PC with a RS232 interface. The stroke is divided into 1,000 steps. When controlled via RS232, the resolution can be increased.
By menas of the steppermotor driven UHV Gasdosing Valve closed loop control of gas flow or pressure in all vacuum areas from low, fine and high to ultrahigh vacuum is possible.
The steppermotor is equipped with a planetary gear designed for longtime work and for high temperatures. An electric switch reports the closed endposition. A thermal resistance ensures that the valve body stays at 300°C, while the actuator does not exceed the allowed 150°C. Thermal insulation of the actuator is not necessary. The valve has only ten seconds operationg time for the whole control range.

With the pneumatic actuated gasdosing valve you can switch fast and easy between the closed and a freely adjustable open position. Without pressure the valce is closed (NC). The adjustment of the open position is done with a set screw on top of the pnaumatic cylinder.
